 Sixty- five years have passed
since the first humble glass manufacturing plant
was founded at Paşabahçe on a directive issued
by the great national leader, Atatürk, who ordered
Türkiye İş Bankası to establish and develop a glass
industry. During this period, Şişecam set out to
meet the country's requirements for essential glass
products. In the 1960s, Şişecam turned its attention
toward exports on the principle that 'the whole
world is our market'. Since that time, the company
has enjoyed a very rapid and powerful expansion
utilizing its sound industrial approach together
with the most advanced technology, a dynamic promotion
of R&D activities and market concentration
that has placed Şişecam in a good position within
a highly competitive environment.
Sisecam Group
consists of four main groups : Flat Glass, Glass
Containers, Glassware and Chemicals,
where Cam Elyaf belongs to.
